Reedsburg Area High School

Jazz Ensemble is a co-curricular performance-based activity that provides students with a variety of jazz ensemble experiences. Students must be a member of a curricular music course (i.e., Band, Orchestra, or Choir) unless the only instrument they play is bass, guitar, or piano. All non-band students must audition with the instructor prior to their enrollment. Music is studied and performed from an intermediate to advanced level of jazz repertoire. This ensemble performs at festivals and concerts throughout the school year. Any instrument is welcome, but students are strongly encouraged to steer themselves toward a traditional jazz instrument. (i.e., trumpet, trombone, sax, or rhythm instrument).
