In order to graduate and obtain a high school diploma, all RAHS students must complete and submit signed documentation to the RAHS Counseling Office for a minimum of 28 hours of community service. Community Service Documentation forms are available online and in the RAHS Counseling Office. It is the responsibility of the students to ensure that their completed documentation forms are submitted accurately and legibly to the School Counseling Office. Students may begin earning community service hours toward their high school graduation requirements as soon as they complete eighth grade.
To confirm how many hours of community service a student has submitted to the Counseling Office, please log onto Skyward and click on the "Student Info" tab. Or, a student's completion status may be verified in Skyward by clicking on the "Educational Milestones" tab; if a student has not fulfilled this requirement, the milestone will not be displayed. Students and parents/guardians may also contact the Counseling Office by calling Mrs. Moon at (608) 768-8928 ext. 1158 to verify how many hours of community service have been submitted or are still required in order to graduate.
A Community Service Ideas list is available for students online and in the Counseling Office. The Counseling Office will also post notices about potential community service opportunities. Students are encouraged to visit the Counseling bulletin board and check RAHS News and school email accounts weekly for regular updates and information.
