Future Course Selection & Scheduling
Current RAHS Students (Grades 9-11): In early January, RAHS students are given information and instructions at school regarding course selection and scheduling for the following school year. Students and their parents/guardians are asked discuss the course information together before students submit their course selections online at school. For more information, please read the online Annual Course Description Book. Students and families are encouraged to contact a School Counselor with questions about high school courses and future education and career plans. NOTE: Students and parents/guardians may log onto their Skyward accounts to view an unofficial copy of the student's high school transcript on the "Portfolio" page. Skyward access may be temporarily disabled during the summer months for updates.
Incoming Freshmen (Grade 8): In early January, School Counselors visit district middle and parochial schools to present information to eighth-grade students about future course selection at RAHS. RAHS Counselors also present information to parents and/or guardians of current eighth-graders at 8th-Grade Parent Night at the high school in mid-January regarding incoming-freshmen registration for classes at RAHS for the following school year.
Once student course selection information has been submitted to the Counseling Office, RAHS staff builds the master schedule. Typically, students will have access to view their next-year schedules on Skyward in late May or early June. 8th-Grade students will receive printed copies of their freshmen schedules at school in June and again during freshmen-only first day orientation in late August or early September.
