Effective with the class of 2021, the Laude System will be replacing class rank at Reedsburg Area High School. The Laude System is a point-based system in which students are recognized for their rigorous coursework and encouraged to take more challenging courses to earn honors. In the United States, the system has been used in colleges and universities since the late 1800s and more high schools are transitioning as a means to encourage students to take academic risks.
