New students/families wishing to enroll at Reedsburg Area High School must complete the following registration process:
- Please see the New Family Enrollment page of the district's website for more information.
- Provide verification of district residence to the School District of Reedsburg Central Office at 501 K Street in Reedsburg.
- If a student or family is considering enrollment at RAHS to begin classes late in the semester, please contact the High School Principal before registering at the Central Office.
- Credit-deficient seniors considering participation in the alternative Vine Street Program must meet specific eligibility requirements and undergo an additional application process. Before enrolling at the Central Office, please contact a School Counselor to determine program eligibility. Space in the program is limited.
- Provide a current immunization record to the District Central Office.
- Once the completed enrollment process has been submitted, the district will request student records from the previous school.
- After enrollment information is reviewed and records received from the previous district, RAHS Counseling Staff will contact the student/family to make an appointment with a School Counselor.
- Family: please be sure to provide the District with a working telephone number.
- It typically takes 1-3 business days during the school year for RAHS to obtain the student's transcript, class schedule, withdrawal grades and IEP (if any) from the previous school. Obtaining student records during the summer months may take additional time due to reduced summer staffing.
- During the initial one-hour meeting with the student, parent/guardian and Counselor, the student will receive a class schedule, a tour of the building, and a student photo ID from the RAHS Attendance Office.
- During the school year, the student usually begins attending classes at RAHS the day following the initial meeting with the School Counselor.
- If possible and in most situations, it is strongly recommended that a student complete the current grading period and/or semester at his/her current school before transferring to avoid potential loss of credits and to promote academic success.
- If a student would like to participate in extracurricular activities and sports at RAHS, please visit the Activities website and/or contact the Activities Director or Activities Administrative Assistant for more information: //www.rsd.k12.wi.us/schools/high/activities/.
- New students and families are encouraged to review the online Reedsburg Area High School Student Handbook for information about attending school at RAHS, including expectations, requirements, resources, and more.
