Welcome to Prairie Ridge Intermediate School, where we live our mission of empowering all students to maximize their potential in fearless pursuit of human excellence!
Speaking on behalf of our entire staff, we are honored to lead, teach, and serve the 500+ students in third, fourth, and fifth grade. Built in 2019, our state-of-the-art campus creates unique learning spaces and opportunities for students inside and outside the classroom.
There’s a reason why Prairie Ridge consistently “exceeds expectations” on the WI DPI annual report card. Our staff prides itself on providing a safe, accountable, and fun culture. We’re committed to fostering a positive environment that inspires learning in all aspects of your child’s intellectual, emotional, and social development, including:
- Professional, friendly, enthusiastic staff
- Research-based curricula and collaboration among students
- Clear behavior expectations and positive interventions to support them (PBIS, Behavior Passports, Compliment Cards)
- Leadership and social-emotional skill development with our 3 R’s for kids - Respect, Responsibility, and Resilience
- Chromebooks and Interactive Clever Touch Boards to help teachers enhance the learning process
- Outdoor learning experiences such as our newly planted six-acre pollinator prairie, The Hartje Center school forest, and field trips to our surrounding natural areas
- Intramural after-school activities such as athletics, drama club, and writing club
